He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph G. McDonald and Enid Lowe McDonald. He is survived by: his wife Lois Wade McDonald; his children, Sherrye Krause, Shelly Girardi, Wendy McDonald (Lester), Jennifer Miessau (John) and Joseph McDonald, Jr. (Kim); his grandchildren, Taylor Spadacenta (Paul), McKenzie Miessau, Ireland Miessau and Shania Krause; his great grandchild Siena Spadacenta; and his brother Gerald R. McDonald (Joyce). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
