He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Eldridge and Henrietta Eldridge (Reid); his spouse Beverly Eldridge; and his siblings, Kenneth Eldridge and Mae Eldridge.

He is survived by: his daughter Judy Slaughter (Darnell) of New Haven; his grandchildren, Maurice W. Perry and Terena B. Bell; and his great grandchildren, Montajah Beard and Kymire Wright.
