With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maria Odete Moreno Rua of Bridgeport, Connecticut, who passed away on July 29, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anibal Moreno and Elisa Videira; her husband Jose Goncalves Rua; her daughter Diana Moreno Rua; and her siblings, Joao and Elisabete.
She is survived by: her children, Duarte Rua (Amanda) of Monroe and Silvia Rua Alfonso (Kevin) of Seymour; her grandchildren, David, Liliana, Jacob, Caleb, Ophelia, Peyton and Delilah; and her siblings, Emilia Moreno DaSilva (Acacio) of Spain, Jose Manuel Moreno (Maria Ines) of Naugatuck, Arlindo Moreno (Anna) of Bridgeport and Paula Rodrigues of Trumbull. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home (419 White Plains Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (429 Huntington Rd, Bridgeport, CT 06608). A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (1056 Daniels Farm Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611).
