He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Childs (Hansen). He is survived by: his sons, Bruce Childs (Jodi) of Meriden, Brian Childs (Beth) of Pensacola, FL and Peter Childs (Kim) of Meriden; his sister Muriel Blaski of Branford; his grandchildren, Peter Childs Jr. (PJ), Rebecca, Matthew Hubbard, Nicole Childs, Lindsey Franklin and John Howell; and his friend Lois Van Almkerk.
