He was predeceased by : his parents, Catello Romano and Adelaide Romano (Ianniello); his son Damian Romano; and his siblings, Thomas Romano, Annette Tommaselli, Joseph Romano, Edward Romano and Anne Lye.

He is survived by : his wife Eleanor Romano (Renda); his daughters, Marilyn Modzelewski (Eugene) of North Branford, CT and Carolyn Buffinton (George) of Prospect, CT.; his grandchildren, Rebecca Roy (Brian), Jennifer Yokley (Kevin), Christopher Modzelewski (Yomaira), Sarah Modzelewski and Gregory Modzelewski (Enkela); and his great grandchildren, Griffin, Eleanor Roy, Madelyn, Samantha Yokley, Carmine, Isabella Modzelewski, Mia and Lucas Modzelewski.
