He was predeceased by: his spouse Judith Olear (Elwell); his parent John Olear; and his siblings, Mrs Olga Laylon (Olear) and Philip Olear. He is survived by: his parent Anna Olear; his children, Tracey Struble (Olear), Mark Olear (Dep) of Geneva and William R. Olear of Cheshire; his grandchildren, Rachael Olear, Rebecca Olear, Stephen Struble and Elizabeth Floyd (Struble); his great grandchild Camden Floyd; and his sister Joan Nalband (Olear) of Southbury.
