With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lucia Demmons (Cheshire, Connecticut), born in Winsted, Connecticut, who passed away on January 2, 2020 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lucia Demmons to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Sweeton and Mary Sweeton (Humphrey); her former husband Elbert C. Saunders Jr.; her husband John L. Demmons Sr.; her daughter Elizabeth Jakiela; and her siblings, Grace Ayer, Eunice Gilbert and Richard Sweeton.
She is survived by: her children, Ginny Foote (Gary) of Bristol, Janet Thayer (Paul) of Southington, John L. Demmons Jr. (Karen) of Plainville and Steven Saunders (Janice) of Colchester, VT; and her sister Lucille Meyer of Bloomfield. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
