She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin T. Leeper and June Leeper (Strait); her son William S. Gere, III; and her sister Ann Leeper Dininger. She is survived by: her husband William S. "Bill" Gere, Jr.; her children, Jane E. Gere (James Zorn) of San Francisco, CA, Carol J. Gere of Cheshire and Merrily A. Gere (Timothy Delgado) of New Britain; her grandson Griffin E. Gere; her daughter-in-law Kathleen Pavlik of Hamden; and her brothers, Robert M. Leeper (Olive) of Warrenton, VA, James H. Leeper (Marge) of Carrollton, TX and John Mark Leeper (Janet) of San Francisco, CA. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
