He is survived by: his children, Paul Smedberg (Carey) of Cheshire and Lisa Sue Smedberg (Kim Bilderback) of Falmouth, MA.; his wife Hilda Marie Smedberg (Erickson); his grandchildren, Matthew J. Smedberg of Cheshire, CT and Nicole M. Smedberg of Bristol, CT; his cousin Pauline Eckardt of Wallingford, CT; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Smedberg of Riverside, RI and Candy Howard of Foxfire, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
