He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Hoyt and Mabel Hoyt; and his sister Marion Hoyt Akiyama. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy (Lemerick); his children, Marsha Hoyt (Antonio Destefano) of Montreal and Jim Hoyt (Bella Angel Hoyt) of Michigan; his brother David Hoyt (Rose) of Ohio; his nieces, Mary Akiyama Kerns (Tom) and Dawn Hoyt Bellinger (Scott); and his nephew Daniel Hoyt (Sarah).
