He was predeceased by: his parents, Prisco Anthony and Lillian Ferreno. He is survived by: his wife Carole Wright Abbate; his children, Adam Van Sinderen Abbate (Rebecca) of Wallingford and Elizabeth A. Galley (Andrew) of Port Deposit, MD; and his grandchildren, Henry, Juliette, Christopher, Gavin, Connor and Jacquelyn (Justin).

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Masonicare HCC in Wallingford or the Civil Air Patrol.
