He was predeceased by: his parent Michael Hyland; and his siblings, John, William, Alice, Mary, Madeline, Fred, Frank and Joe.

He is survived by: his spouse Elizabeth Hyland (Mannello); his parent Wilhelmina Hyland (Nuhn); his children, Robert of Woodstock, Christopher of Woodstock, Karen of Woodstock and Allysia Nanfito of Wolcott; and his grandchildren, Patrick, Rachael, Victoria, Ariana and Sebastian.
