He was predeceased by: his parents, Viateur Descoteaux and Exilda Descoteaux (Godin); his wife Janet Descoteaux (Lapre); his daughter Lisa Vadnais; and his siblings, Normand Descoteaux and Dorothy Lanctot (Edward).
He is survived by: his children, Marsha Descoteaux-Holland (John), Lara Descoteaux (Craig Forget), Danielle Wiesmore (Kevin), Raymond Descoteaux (June), William Descoteaux (Debra), John Descoteaux (Katrerina), Harry Descoteaux, Steven Descoteaux (Maribel), James Descoteaux and Michael Descoteaux (Angela); his brother Ernest Descoteaux (Cecile); and his sister-in-law Violet Descoteaux.
