He was predeceased by : his parents, Pedro Cruz and Ignacia Quintana; and his brother Raul Cruz. He is survived by : his wife Carmen Maria Cruz (Roman Echevarria); his children, Fidel Cruz, Jr. (Cynthia) of Wethersfield, Janet Cruz of Manchester, Dorothy Cruz-Lopez (Epifanio) of Charleston, SC and Nancy Cruz-Ortiz (Jose) of New Britain; his grandchildren, Brandon Cruz, Justin Cruz, Adriana Cruz, Chris Cruz, Miranda Flores, Sierra Woodbury (Jordan), Kasey Shemanskis, Xavier Lopez, Savion Santiago, Jose Ortiz, Jr. and Antonio Ortiz; his great grandchild Skylee Mathelier; and his sisters, Grace Domenech, Maria Cruz and Catalina Cruz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
