Madeline F. DeMatteo Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Madeline F. DeMatteo of East Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on July 16, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Madeline may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Madeline touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Alphonse S. DeMatteo; and her brother Francis Amici. She is survived by: her children, Francis "Frank" DeMatteo of Northford, Michael A. DeMatteo (Marisa) of Madison and Maria Howard (Kevin Sr.) of East Haven; and her grandchildren, Justin, Felicia DeMatteo, Kevin Jr. and Ryan Howard.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Porto Funeral Home (234 Foxon Rd, East Haven, CT 06513). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Pompeii Church (355 Foxon Rd, East Haven, CT 06513).
