He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Chester, Sr. and Elizabeth Chester (Gilson); and his brother Charles Chester. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Chester; his children, Joseph Chester (Brianna) of Windsor Locks and Amy DeCoteau (Jason) of East Windsor; his grandsons, Joseph and Daniel Chester; and his brother James "Frank" Chester of Enfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
