It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles F. Allen Jr. of Ellington, Connecticut, who passed away on April 26, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Allen and Dorothy Allen (Rambow); his wife Margaret Allen (Gessay); his son Timothy; and his daughter-in-law Doreen.
He is survived by: his family Church; his children, David Allen of Stafford and Susan Smith (Craig) of Ellington; his grandchildren, Tammy, John, Eric and Sarah; and his great grandchildren, Madison, Danica and Wanda Allen. He is also survived by her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home (76 Prospect St, Vernon, CT 06066). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Luke's Church (141 Maple St, Ellington, CT 06029).
