She was predeceased by: her aunt Diane. She is survived by: her children, Amani Abdullah (Asad) of Huntington Station, NY and Jamalaldeen Obaid (Jamal) of New Britain, CT; her parents, Dean Rasmussen and Caren Rasmussen; her uncle Charlie; her aunt Claudia Siedlecki of Broad Brook, CT; her brother David Rasmussen (Suzanne); her nieces and nephews, Hadassah, Joel, Elizabeth and Selah of Lake Forest, IL; her sister Claudia Rasmussen (Bo Smith) of Valley View, TX; her uncle Emmert; and her former husband Hiyem Obaid of New Britain, CT.. She is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.
