He was predeceased by: his parent William Atkinson; his son Eddie Atkinson Jr.; and his brother Richard Atkinson. He is survived by: his parent Blanche Atkinson; his children, Julie Stevens, John Atkinson (Deborah) of Ashford, CT, Jody Atkinson of Southbridge, MA and Jerry Atkinson (Lynn) of East Windsor, CT; and his sister Geraldine Hanley. He is also survived by grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
