He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernesto Filosa and Lena Filosa (Verdone); his daughter Karen Ryan; and his sisters, Clementina Celli and Cecilia Merrow.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Filosa (Bertsch); his daughter Maryann Nielsen (Bruce) of Broad Brook; his son-in-law Tim Ryan of Ellington; his grandsons, Nicholas Colarusso (Kelli) of Concord, NH, Dominic Colarusso (Amanda) of Chicopee, MA and Michael Ryan (Kathy); his great grandchildren, Elliot of Enfield and Kevin Ryan (Cassandra); and his stepgranddaughters, Kristen and Megan Nielsen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
