He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Sr. Sweet and Anthea Sweet (Valleau); and his daughter Ruth A. Classen of Guilford, CT.. He is survived by: his wife Carol Greenfield (Dunbar); his children, William A. Sweet (Cynthia) of Warwick, NY and Pauline "Polly" Dunbar Sweet of Manchester, CT; his stepson Robert "Jim" Peret (Lynette) of Holland, MA; his son Walter D. Sweet (Carole) of Enfield; his siblings, John Sweet (Ruth) of Lebanon, CT and Susan MacLachlan of Jewitt City, CT; his son-in-law Raymond E. Classen; and also Richard Benoit of Uxbridge, MA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
