He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Albert Ellis; his wife Laurie R. Ellis (Deprest); his daughters, Brooke J. Ellis of Enfield and Cheyenne L. Ellis of Enfield; his mother Eleanor Ellis (Petorelli) of Enfield; his brother Peter Ellis of Enfield; and his aunt Dorothy DiIorio of North Carolina. He was also cherished by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Petit Family Foundation, an organization that provides help to educate young people, supports those with chronic illnesses such as MS, and helps protect those that have been impacted by violence.
