Rita Newman Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Newman (Enfield, Connecticut), born in Cranston, Rhode Island, who passed away on January 25, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband George Newman, Sr.; her parents, Thomas Coleman and Mary Coleman; her siblings, Thomas Coleman, Jeanne Stamp and Elizabeth Harvey; her siblings-in-law, Edward Powers, Martin Stamp, William Harvey and Catherine Coleman; and her nephew Robert Harvey.
She is survived by: her children, George Newman, Jr. (Jeannie), Mary Beth Lamagna (Rob), Donald Newman of Enfield and Gary Newman of Westfield, NJ.; her grandchildren, Robert Lamagna, Jr., Michael Lamagna, Justin, Rachel and Rebecca Newman; her stepgranddaughter Lucinda Smith; and her sister Catherine Powers of Smithfield, RI. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
