Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint JoAnn leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She is survived by : her husband Ed; her stepdaughters, Abigail and Amanda Southworth; her brother Joe Lockwood (Dorothy); her niece JoAnn (Lou); and her close friend Tracy McMorran.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at 77 Main St, Chester, CT 06417. She was part of a close-knit group called the "Covid 8.". During the pandemic and beyond, this group, consisting of Tim and Phyllis Haut, Joey, Ed, Lonnie Moskal, Jane Vieira, Annie Joy, and Betta French, found solace and connection in shared Sunday dinners and other fun gatherings.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Connecticut Humane Society.
