She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Knapik; her parents, Ignatius Okonowski and Catherine Okonowski (Tanculski); and her son Joseph Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Nancy Kraczkowsky-Galligan (William) of Little River, SC and Richard (Judy) of New Britain; her grandchildren, Jessica Emshanova (Konstantin), Amanda Kraczkowsky (Michael Mahardy) and Andrew Knapik; and her great grandchildren, Kirill and Nikita Emshanov.
