He was predeceased by: his parent Faye Carey (Spiotta); and his brother William Carey. He is survived by: his parent Joseph Carey; his brothers, Anthony Carey of Torrington and Paul Carey of Torrington; and his siblings' children, Joseph Carey, Kaitlyn Carey and Kristina Carey.
