She was predeceased by: her spouse Rene F. Gatineau; her parents, Anthony Smalarz and Agnes Smalarz (Grych); her son Mark Gatineau; and her brother Thomas Smalarz.
She is survived by: her children, Peter Gatineau (Karen) of Biloxi, MS and Melissa Notis (Paul) of Woodstock; her siblings, Paul Smalarz of Thompson, Mary Davis of Putnam and Christine Benoit of Bath, ME; her grandchildren, Rebecca Gatineau and Peter Gatineau; and her daughter-in-law Cynthia Gatineau.
