He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy J. Gyte (Johnstone); his parents, Milton Gyte, and Irene Gyte, Sr.; and his sisters, Junita Juhr and Donna Acton.
He is survived by: his children, Milton Gyte, III, N. Grosvenordale, Matthew Gyte (Rattikan), Jennifer Nordine and Renee Levens; his sister Joanne Poole of Ca; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Marinda, Kyle, Laura and Anna Rae.
