He was predeceased by: his father Juan Maria Ortiz; and his brother Juan Carlos Ortiz. He is survived by: his mother Cecilia Mendez; his siblings, Carmen Ortiz (Quique), Brunilda Ortiz Midred Ortiz (Henry) and Magdalia Ortiz (Prentice); his grandchildren, Isabella Kopylec, Oralndo Santiago, Gianna Ortiz, Peighton Ortiz, Ariella Ortiz, Cera Echevaria, Eren Echeveria and Aubry Sherman; and his nieces and nephews, Yamile, Mayra, Migdalis, Bianca, Sasha, Carlos, Omar, Auder and Tron.
