He was predeceased by: his parent Walter Saars; and his sister Ann Chiarella. He is survived by: his spouse Linda Maio Saars; his parent Margaret McGowan Saars; his children, Laura Calamo (Shane) and Adam Saars; and his sisters, Colleen O'Daly and Elizabeth Moore. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
