She was predeceased by: her parents, Stallworth Banister and Grace Banister; and her sisters, Joyce Bryant, Sephern Wright, Sephene Banister and Lois Pierce.

She is survived by: her daughter Karen; her son-in-law George Howard; her grandsons, Ryan, Teal and Brandon; and her sisters, Martha Carney, Lucille Banister and Christine Banister Pugh. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
