With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mattie Lean Murphy (Hamden, Connecticut), who passed away on September 19, 2019 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, James Goodson and Alice Goodson (Willis); her husband Sam Murphy; and her brother Jessie "Buddy" Goodson. She is survived by : her children, Alice Murphy of New Haven, Alvin Murphy of New Haven, Linda Murphy of New Haven and Felicia Scroggins (Chuck) of Hamden. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, and a host of cousins.
