He was predeceased by: his parent Patrick Gardiner. He is survived by: his spouse Jeanne Lyons Gardiner; his children, Karen Rhone (William) of North Haven and Susan Gardiner of Hamden; his siblings, Robert Gardiner, Peter Gardiner of Ireland and Mary Kelleher of Hamden; his grandchildren, Meghan Delvecchio, Brian, William and Shannon Rhone; and his parent Delia Doolan Gardiner. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
