He was predeceased by : his parents, John F. Gontarski and Mathilda Soliday Gontarski. He is survived by : his wife Carolyn Cleary Gontarski; his children, Christopher J. Gontarski of Hamden, Katie E. Gontarski of Hamden and Timothy P. Gontarski of Hamden; and his siblings, John F. Gontarski, Glenn Gontarski of Old Saybrook and Susan Kitchell.
