It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Mae Tolson (Hamden, Connecticut), born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on August 30, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Tolson and Evelyn Kelley Tolson; and her siblings, Curtis Tolson (Fleta), Russell Tolson (Odell), Clayton Tolson (Sally), Lloyd Tolson, Rodney Tolson, Eugene Tolson, Catherine Hayes and Sandra Tolson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Dortche of Richmond, VA and Deborah Tolson-Forlow of Hamden, CT; her sister Evelyn Tolson; her grandchildren, Troy Tolson, Tanya Tolson, Brandon Tolson, Andrew Dortche and Jamar Dortche; her great grandchildren, Breanna Muriel, Jeremiah Evans, Teshan Stewart, Raequoun Johnson, Jaequoun Johnson and Zaneya Tolson; and her great great grandchildren, Marcus Jacobs, Kingsley Jacobs and Jahsai Moore. She is also survived by Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
