He is survived by: his children, Melvenia Y. Woods-Monroe, Dinella W. Dodd, Vernetta N. Smith and Edward D. Woods; and his siblings, Jackson, John Andrew, Frederick Woods and Carolyn Woods Johnson. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
