It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sophie Gassira (Hamden, Connecticut), born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on August 30, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Andrew Gassira; and her brother Carmine "Sonny" Manzo. She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Lombardozzi (Michael) and Diana Kanoff (Brian); her sister Joanne Tonelli (Joseph); her grandchildren, Jessica Kanoff, Jaclyn Waszkiewicz (Jan), Michelle Lombardozzi and Dominick Lombardozzi (Arielle); and her great grandchildren, Nicholas Waszkiewicz, Nico and Sophia Lombardozzi.
