With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Valerie Ann Pearson Green (Hamden, Connecticut), born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on September 11, 2020 at the age of 66. She was predeceased by: her parents, Augustine Bellamy and Lester Mae Bellamy; and her son Alphonso Ray Dolberry. She is survived by: her son Marcus Pearson, Jr. (Shakita); her godson Thesmond Bellamy; her siblings, Cittie Beck of New Haven, CT, Judith Cherry (Bellamy) of Dorchester, MA, Lorraine Bellamy of New Haven, CT and Wesley Bellamy (Arlene) of New Haven, CT; her close friend Anthony Clemons; and her friend Herman Arrington. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
