Walter T. Gancarz Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter T. Gancarz (Hamden, Connecticut), born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on May 20, 2020, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Reverend John Gancarz, Joe Gancarz, Josephine Senko and Frances Skibinsky. He is survived by: his wife Elinor Priest; and his children, Marilyn O'Connor (Frank) of Fredericksburg, VA, Nancy Murtha of Golden, CO and Walter Gancarz (Linda) of Cheshire, CT.. He is also survived by his parents, brothers, sisters and friends.
Most importantly, it provided the Continuum of Life Walter so desired, so in the end, even with all the restrictions brought upon by COVID-19 (which he was fortunate to not have contracted), close family and friends were able to visit him in Hospice during the few days he spent there.
