It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Geraldine (Murphy) Babcock (Hartford, Connecticut), born in Worcester, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 4, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard J. Babcock; her parents, Daniel T. Murphy and Mary Murphy (Hickey); and her brother Daniel T. Murphy of Mass. She is survived by: her daughters, Tara Mendyka (Andrew) of Manchester and Shannon Sullivan; her grandson Christopher Rich of Vernon; and her brother James Murphy (Paula) of New Hampshire. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to The Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) or you can celebrate her life by reading a book (or two) to a child.
