With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mother Margaret Melvin McKeithan (Hartford, Connecticut), who passed away on June 2, 2025 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her brother Dexter; her parent Ora Knighton; her children, Annette Pennington, Gertie Hightower, Bernard, James and Jerry McKeithan; her grandchildren, Anita Hamsley and Michael Hines; and her parent McKeithan.
She is survived by: her sister Emmaline Melvin; and her daughters, Lunette Watson (Alphonso), Margaret Garrett and Barbara Jean McCoy (Willie). She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Antioch Baptist Church (161 Nelson St, Hartford, CT 06102).
