With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Roberta Elizabeth Braunstein of Jewett City, Connecticut, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Roberta left this world on July 26, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Castellano and Henry Braunstein. She is survived by: her brothers, Michael Braunstein (Ritu) of Stonington, CT and Richard Braunstein (Jan) of Atlanta, GA.; her siblings' children, Sarah, Ben, Elizabeth, Caroline, Peter, Ruthie, Julie and Jacob; her caregiver John Feeney, Jr.; her son Matthew Braunstein (Melissa) of Canterbury, CT; her grandchildren, Madisen, Makenzie and Morgan Braunstein; and her daughters, Rowyn Braunstein and Ashley.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home (490 Voluntown Rd, Griswold, CT 06351). A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Pachaug Cemetery (999 Voluntown Rd, Griswold, CT 06351).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Roberta's memory may be made to the Rudman Summer Fellows Fund at UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law continuing her legacy of justice, education, and her love for advocacy.
