He was predeceased by : his parents, Elmer Francis Watrous and Mable Estelle Watrous (Crouch); his siblings, Bernice, Alvan, Esther and Marilyn; his former life partner Gladys Watrous (Whipple); and his grandson Benjamin Flickner.

He is survived by : his wife Jean Watrous (Allen Drake); his children, Mae Greenleaf (Arthur) of Florida, Larry Watrous (Lori) of Missouri and Henry Watrous (Debbie) of Arizona; and his stepdaughters, Carol Marsh (Charles) of Missouri, Diane Meacham (Robert) of Maine, Linda Flickner (Paul) of Groton and Sandra Rockett (Matthew) of Ledyard. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
