We are sad to announce that on January 1, 2022, at the age of 71, George Arthur Humphrey Jr. (Litchfield, Connecticut), born in Torrington, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his wife Sandra "Sandy" Humphrey (Rarick); and his parents, George A. Sr. Humphrey and Marjorie Humphrey (Palmer). He is survived by : his son George A. Humphrey III (Jill); his sister Carol Evans (Lew); his sister-in-law Diane Freer; his nieces, Doreen Kingston (Rusty) and Darlene Sawyer (Ed); and his great-nieces, Ashlyn and Lindsay.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Morris Fire Co., P.O. Box 527, Morris, CT 06763.

“Georgie....and Jill; We are so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing....He accomplished much in his life....A devoted husband and father to you...and the dedication he made to the Morris Fire Dept. and the community could ever go unnoticed....His work ethic was also noticed serving with the Town of Litchfield Public Works where my husband Phil worked with him....there was always a story....
