It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Loretta Tanner (Litchfield, Connecticut), born in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on December 6, 2018, at the age of 104, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Kathryn Curtiss. She is survived by: her husband Willis H. Tanner; her parents, Anna Barry (Masterson) and James Barry; her daughter Pat (John Downes) of Sterling, MA; her sisters, Marge Golger of Fairfield and Eileen Wilke of Cheshire; her grandchildren, Kelly Tanner, Christopher Downes, Jennifer Tanner Brower, Carolynne Downes Noel, Ryan Curtiss and Sean Curtiss; her great grandchildren, Emily, Dylan, Loa, Evan, Asher, Paul and Louis; and her siblings, Jimmy and Anne Balint.
In lieu of flower, the family requests that memorial donations, in her memory, be made to Warren Public Library, 15 Sackett Hill Road, Warren, CT 06754; Warren Volunteer Fire Co., 11 Sackett Hill Road; The Warren Historical Society, 50 Cemetery Road; or The Warren Land Trust, 50 Cemetery Road.
