With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael J. Pikal (Mansfield Center, Connecticut), born in Wadena, Minnesota, who passed away on February 26, 2018 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by : his parents, Harold Pikal and Sophie Pikal (Shirilla); his wife Janice; his children, Mary Schadewald (Karl), Jon Pikal (Eva), Robert Pikal (Susan), Katherine Cleland (Jeff) and Amy Pikal-Roberts (Jay); his grandchildren, Derrick, Elaine, Kassie, Jaimie, Jackson, Sophia, Sabrina, Matthew, Michael, Kayla, Claire, Keaton, Elle and Cade; and his brother Wayne Pikal.

Donations in his memory can be made to St. Joseph Church in Willimantic or the UConn Foundation, Inc./ Michael J. Pikal Graduate Fellowship in Pharmaceutical Technology Fund.
