He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Perez and Juana Marquez. He is survived by: his wife Esther Perez; his children, Jose A. Perez, Noemi Perez (Miguel Modesti) and Carmen I. Perez; his grandchildren, Anthony, William, Alexis, Ileanys, Itzamarie, Jonathan, Crystal Marie, Nathanael, Alicia, Jose, Eli Jose and Franceska Lee; and his great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Julius, Anthony, Joseph and Aaliyah. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
