He was predeceased by: his spouse Ricarda "Cana" Vasquez Maldonado; his parents, Juan Maldonado and Maria C. Maldonado (Santiago); and his siblings, Jose, Alberto Maldonado and Luminada Maldonado.
He is survived by: his children, Diana Rivera (Haroldo), Benjamin Maldonado Jr. (Lisette), Daniel Maldonado and Ricardo Maldonado; his grandchildren, Anthony Benjamin Maldonado, Jailene Lisette Maldonado, Tomas Daniel Maldonado and Alex Benjamin Maldonado; his siblings, Efrain, Wilfredo, Maria M. and Jorge Luis Maldonado; and his sister-in-law Virginia Torres. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
