She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas and Mary (Babci); her stepfather Martin Marosz; her husband Dominic; her son Daniel Nitkowski (Kathleen); and her son-in-law Roland Doty (Janice).
She is survived by: her children, John Nitkowski (Anne), Janice Doty of Colchester and Helen DeCosta (Owen) of Meriden; her daughter-in-law Kathleen Nitkowski of Meriden; and her siblings, Helen Tencza, Angela Pratt, Julia Supranovich, Joseph, John and Stanley. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 10 great, great grandchildren, and 1 great, great, great grandson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was born in Tampico, Virginia on November 17, 1916, and was a daughter of the late Thomas (who died in the Spanish Flu pandemic) and Mary (Babci), and stepdaughter of the late Martin Marosz.
