He was loved and cherished by many people including: his significant other Janet Doris Tonkonow (Sepersky); his father Benjamin Tonkonow; his brother Attorney Sherman M. Tonkonow; his children, Leslie Tonkonow (Klaus Ottmann) of New York, Attorney Bruce Tonkonow of Middletown, Connecticut and Amy Tonkonow Kohan (Richard Kohan) of Coconut Grove, Florida; his grandchildren, Rebekah Kohan Siemann (Carson Siemann) of New York, Benjamin Kohan (Hannah Limov) of Asheville and Lydia Tonkonow of Baltimore, Maryland; his great grandchild Nelle Charlotte Siemann; and his niece Barbara Kendzior (Lawrence Kendzior) of Meriden. He was also cherished by several other nephews and nieces.
